History
Baron Munchausen is typical of the 18th century. a representative of the nobility, whose main occupation and form of expression was war and hunting. There is no doubt that in 1739 he participated in the Russian-Turkish war and a few years later in the Russian-Swedish war. Munchausen has served and stayed in Riga for a few years. The fateful entry has been preserved in the Pernigel church book of Liepupe parish - on January 2, 1744, cuirassier lieutenant Hieronymus Karlis Friedrich von Munchausen married Jacobini, the daughter of judge baron von Dunten. They lived in marriage for 46 years. Although Munchausen spends most of his life with the Jacobins in Bordenwerder, the most beautiful and memorable moments of his life have been precisely in Dunte. Hieronymus Carl Friedrich von Munchausen dies in 1797, but his boundless imagination and intriguing personality have given writers and playwrights the impetus to wrap his name in legends.
On May 32, 2005, Baron Munchausen returned to the Dunte manor - museum, his dream land in Ulubele.
